Founder Maryanne Macdonald has served Memphis and the Mid-South as a professional organizer for 17 years. She has provided guidance, motivation and solutions to hundreds of individuals and corporations that has saved them time, money and frustration. And she can do the same for you.

Needs Assessment: Do It Yourself Organization Plan

Is your home or office out of control? Do you spend valuable time looking for misplaced items? At the end of the day do you often feel as though you have accomplished very little? Organize by Design’s Needs Assessment includes an on-site visit to your home or office that will determine how you can get more accomplished in less time with less effort. During my visit to your home or office, I want to learn why you want to get organized, what has prevented you from getting organized in the past and your current organization management style. After this in-depth assessment, we’ll determine what you want to accomplish, then I’ll design a customized plan of action for you. The plan will include step-by-step solutions on how to let go of clutter, maximize your storage space and make your home or office more functional. This service allows you to gain the knowledge and skills you need to implement this “do-it-yourself” organization project! The organization action plan will be tailored to your goals and lifestyle, with sensible, easy systems you can maintain. You will also be given tips and ideas that will help you keep your new organization systems running smoothly.

Time Management & Productivity Coaching

Do you have trouble completing projects on time? Do you often arrive late for events? Is your desk covered with so many papers you can’t even find a place to work? Is procrastination a way of life for you? Do you go through the day getting very little accomplished? If so, you need a Time Management and Productivity Coach. During a personal visit to your home or office, I will assess how you spend time, and then create a plan of action to help you become more focused and increase your productivity. Your customized plan will cover how to avoid time-wasters, plus ways to use time buffers and small bits of time to get more done with less stress. You will learn how to set priorities, keep a calendar and work from a daily plan. Before you know it you will be arriving early to your appointments and meetings, and you will have more time to spend on the important things in your life!

Service includes: A 1½ hour on-site assessment, a plan of action, 6 weeks coaching by telephone (1/2 hour session) and a 1½ hour follow-up session.

Tele-coaching for Home or Office Organization

Expert advice any time you need help with an organization problem or project. A tele-coaching session can help when:

  • you’ve started an organization project and you don’t know what to do or where to go next.
  • you need ideas on what to do with the items you no longer need.
  • you need assistance with dealing with the mail or cleaning out your clothes closet or the garage.
  • you need organizing systems put into place that will help you take control of your surroundings, your time and your life.
  • you don’t even know where to begin to get organized!

These 30 minute coaching sessions can get or keep you motivated and focused on your organization projects. You will learn simple systems to bring order out of chaos. “How-to” guidelines and instructions will be emailed to you after each session. This is your opportunity to discuss your organization issues one-on-one with a veteran professional organizer. Photographs of your space or project emailed would be helpful.

Service includes: 1/2 hour telephone session and “How to” guidelines

Move In/Move Out Consultation

Selling your home? An unbiased eye can help put your home in order and prepare it for the market. You want your home to look its best when the first prospective buyer walks through the front door. Get ideas on how to arrange furniture, what to do with unwanted items and how to clean out the clutter, making your home more appealing to a purchaser. Also get advice on what to keep, what to donate and what to sell.

Buying a new home? Creating order on the front end can make unpacking a breeze. Starting out in your new, well-planned home will mean you’ll create order from the day you move in. Organize by Design services include an evaluation of the available storage space in your new home and suggestions on where to put things to create organized systems. Includes an evaluation of what you have and a plan for how to arrange your belongings for optimum organization.

Family Manager Makeover Assessment

Chaos and disorganization reign in many homes, causing frustration and unnecessary stress in family relationships. The Family Manager Makeover Assessment provides solutions and support to reduce daily stress and create a smoothly running, happy home. Are you one of the millions of way-too-busy people who believe that if you had a few more hours each day, you could catch up and keep up? You certainly didn’t plan for your home and family to get buried in the clutter and confusion of everyday life. Many people say they don’t know how to get back on track.
